Staff at the Bideford in North Devon branch refused to do a call out for customers who had locked their dog inside their car in sweltering 28C summer heat. Staff at the supermarket claimed they did not want to upset shoppers by making an announcement about the dog and its missing owner. The German Shepherd was left for over 30 minutes in the car and could be seen panting as worried shoppers alerted staff and even tried to force their way in to the car themselves. Why couldn't the staff have just made an announcement for owner of car registration blah blah blah to please come to the customer service desk? Shame on you Tesco.
